Discussing Innovative Solutions
On 30th October 2024, we brought together industry leaders and the local business community in Cape Town to explore key trends in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM). With around 30 guests attending our inaugural event – ‘Identity Security Talks’ – in Cape Town, we had engaging discussions on the latest challenges and future trends in digital identity security.
We also presented our company’s journey over the past 16 years and debated on the evolution of IAM.
Anthony Mornet, Founder and CEO of IAM Experts, stated: “We are celebrating the opening of our South African entity opened earlier this year. We are bringing a lot of interesting conversations, particularly around how we can add value to our local clients. Wherever it’s about making the processes going faster or reducing costs, our goal is to bring the value back from their identity and access management investments.”
From the early days when the IAM domain was not yet recognised, our company has witnessed and contributed to the industry’s transformation, staying ahead of the curve as new challenges emerge.
Discussing Innovative Solutions and Future Scenarios
Richard Craig, Managing Director of IAM Experts South Africa, detailed: “A lot of organisations invested large amounts of money in their IAM programmes, and they’ve seen a very little return of investment. This is one of the challenges we are aiming to solve. From the AI perspective, which is quite of a buzzword at the moment, I’m hopeful in the sense that it will help clean up the access management catalogue.”
Our speakers dived into topics such as:
- The shift to SaaS IAM solutions: Are businesses ready for the transition?
- The evolving landscape of PAM with the rise of cloud technologies, remote workforces, and zero-trust security models.
- The future of banking security and AI-driven automation for real-time threat intelligence.
- Next-gen biometric authentication and self-sovereign identity, and their impact on IAM strategies.
“There’s a lot of new frontiers where people have to deal with new technologies and a lot of new applications of these technologies, and in order to be successful in identity security space, my honest recommendation is to find the right partner with the right experts”, explained Wayne James, Security Architect & IGA Specialist, and one of our guest speakers.
The positive feedback from our guests was overwhelming, and we’re excited about the upcoming projects and future challenges that lie ahead for IAM Experts and our talented specialists.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event such a success! We look forward to continuing the conversation and driving innovation in IAM.
